WE HAVE SEEN HIS STAR

by choice2

-----------------
Twas the…

Night before Christmas

The darkness of night
New day was dawning
Bringing New Light

Light into darkness
That all may see
Born and died
For you and for me

This King brought a gift
From heaven
above
For many who will
Accepted his Love

This gift was given

More precious than gold

The King of Kings birth

Was long long foretold

Poured out this treasure

As poured frankincense
Taken great measure
His life recompensed

Gave over himself

For yours to secure

And from death to life

The sweet smell of myrrh

---
Heavenly Host sing Hallelu

Praising his name, for it is True

Accept this gift given to you

The Host will then sing Hallelu.

Do you know Santa?

I don’t get what they see
When they look at him.
This obese man lacks control,
Goes on an eating binge.

He shows up to a party,
And does that stupid laugh.
They buy it line and sinker,
Of him they see just half.

They didn’t see him stinking drunk,
Tripped on the Yule log.
Fell into the Christmas tree,
Got up and kicked the dog.

They didn’t see when he puked,
Was hugging the commode.
Many times he’s been like this,
Should all the truth be told.

They didn’t see him playing cards,
And bet the grocery money.
Do you think he’s jolly now?
Do you think he’s funny?

Think just because his brother
Is known as Santa Claus
That he would be just like him,
Not have so many flaws.

You can’t go by the package.
You can’t go by ones kin.
You can’t go by ones relatives.
To know just what’s within.

So have a Merry Christmas.
Enjoy your family.
You can pick who is your friend,
But not your family tree.

THAT'S NOT MY VIAGRA

That’s not my Viagra
Don’t need it, oh, not me
Must be someone else’s
Go ask, and she’ll agree

There’s been a time or two
I had too much to drink
And a little period
I saw my favorite shrink

Sometimes I’m in pain
An old sports injury
Distracted me a little
Pain in the ass old knee

When getting to the end,
Quotas in each quarter
Of course it’s not the time
Not like I forgot her

Besides she said to me
It’s really not about
‘sides, Tuesdays bowling night
And Fridays, girls night out.

FUZZY BURRO

I sure love fuzzy burro
I travel with my friend
Makes me mad when other folks
They call him my rear end

When we stop to spend the night
We snuggle by the fire
Wish he wouldn’t eat my beans
Before we do retire

I can count on my old friend
To stop when I say go
When I pulled upon his rope
He stepped on my big toe

Had to ride him after that
To nurse this injury
And when I wasn’t looking
He bit me on my knee

When I was bent over
To take care of this cut
My buddy, fuzzy burro
Did kick me in the butt

So I got up, eye to eye
“Your ass I could replace”
His reply came too quick
He spit into my face

I sure love fuzzy burro
I travel with my friend
Makes me mad when other folks
They call him my rear end

LIVING ONE MORE DAY

Look at you from over here
Makes me long for there
Making it distinctly clear
Just how much I care

It wasn’t ‘til I saw you
Not until you’re there
It was then that I so knew
Sense of the beware

Didn’t mean a thing to me
Seen it fall apart
Now it’s seen as a disease
Knew it from the start

If I could just take it back
Go to yesterday
Turn back time and change the facts
I’d have my own way

Can we turn the corner now?
Change a strange dispute
Getting older everyday
Can’t go back to youth

Find a way to get it done
Find a way to stay
Warriors fight is often won
Living one more day

LUCKY NEIGHBORS

I cant stand my next door neighbor
And I know they can’t stand me
Walking the dog in the morning
In their flowers I hope he will pee

I steal their Sunday paper
And turn on their water hose
When they hang out their laundry
I’ve even have taken their clothes

Last night I ordered them pizza
Hope they like anchovies
I save up my stinky garbage
To make the best of the breeze

Why do I do all this to them?
I’d be glad to tell you
It’s the way they act so like children
It’s like they never grew.
